The aggrieved indigenes who took their peaceful protest to the Palace of the traditional ruler of the community described the plan as unfair, and against fairness and justice.

The protest is part of the controversy that trailed the creation of new LCDAs in recent weeks. There were similar protests just few days ago at the public hearing organised before creation of the LCDAs was passed into law by the State House of Assembly. The protests by different groups and communities were over the demography and alleged ceding of land to another LCDAs.
