Niger Delta Students Union Government from the nine states in the region participating in a two-day intensive training workshop on the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) in Benin City are protesting over alleged sharp practices by management of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Ltd( NPDC).
The participants blocked the entrance to the company for several hours preventing entry and exit to demand the NPDC management to give them what is due them as captured in the blueprint for the training.

Some of the accusations levelled against the management include the reduction in their training stipends and the removal of computer laptops from the bags presented to them.
The management of NPDC is yet to react to the allegations leveled against it.
