PSC embarks on community sensitisation on police recruitment

Following the approval by President Mohammadu Buhari for the recruitment of fifty thousand people into the Nigerian Police Force across the federation, the Police Service Commission has embarked on community sensitization on the importance of the exercise.

To facilitate the effective implementation of the recruitment, the Police Service Commission has organized a stakeholders’ sensitization forum across the country, to engage relevant people In the process.

Those of Bauchi and Gombe States took place at the Bauchi Government House, where the National Commissioner One of the Police Service Commission, retired Justice Clara Bata Retired, represented the Chairman of the Commission, Musliu Smith.

The Chairman of the commission said security is a key to the sustenance of peace, which fast-tracks the economic growth and development of every nation.

He called on those eligible to apply, to provide solutions to the inadequate number of personnel, as well as security challenges, bedevilling the country.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by the Secretary To the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, commended the commission for choosing Bauchi to hold the community sensitisation engagement that comprised Bauchi and Gombe.

He appealed to the commission to increase the number of slots allocated to Bauchi, due to its population growth.

The Police Commissioners of Bauchi and Gombe States assured the smooth conduct of the exercise.
