The President of the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria (APN) Professor Taiwo Obindo has been Rescued hours after his abduction by Gunmen.
It was gathered that the erudite scholar who works with the
Jos University Teaching Hospital was abducted on Sunday night at about 11:43pm at his residence along Adonai School Road Gold and Base, Jos.
A member of the community who does not want his name mentioned told ait.live that the Gunmen stormed the community in their numbers and began shooting sporadically which lasted about 46 minutes before gaining access to the Professor’s house and whisked him away.
However, few hours after the Incident, the abducted Professor was rescued by the joint efforts of the police, Air force Personnel and Bikers of the Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven who responded promptly and trailed the kidnappers.

The Spokesman for the Plateau state Police Command, DSP Alabo Alfred, confirmed the incident and appealed for calm from residents.
As at the time of filling this report, the erudite scholar has since been reunited with his family.
