The Presidential Taskforce on Covid 19 says it is escalating its surveillance and testing drive to ensure that the spread of Covid-19 is effectively contained even as the country approaches the Christmas and New Year season.
Chairman of the Taskforce and Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha stated this during Monday’s national breifing on Covid 19 where he reminded all Nigerians of the need to put off all non-essential trips to cut down the rate of transmission of Covid-19 nationwide.

PTF National Coordinator, Dr. Sani Aliyu at the briefing also said that the Federal Government is also actively discouraging Nigerians abroad from returning home for the Yuletide holiday following concerns over spike in Covid-19 cases in some parts of the world.
