Catholic Bishop of Idah Diocese in Kogi State, His Lordship, Anthony Ademu Adaji

Catholic Bishop of Idah Diocese in Kogi State, North-Central Nigeria, His Lordship, Anthony Ademu Adaji, wants the Federal Government to arrest and prosecute persons linked to the promotion and sponsorship of terrorism in the country.

The cleric made the call during Chrism Mass held at St. Boniface Cathedral, Idah as parishioners gathered in their numbers to celebrate the gift of priesthood with their priest.

Bishop Adaji, who condemned the present level of insecurity in some parts of the country tasked the Federal Government to go beyond publishing the names of persons suspected to be linked to terrorism to arresting and prosecuting them.

He also reminded the government that Nigerians were suffering as a result of the current harsh economic conditions and appealed for quick measures to address the situation.

Bishop Adaji thanked all the priests in the country for their dedication to the service of Christ despite the current challenges in the country.
