The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Abuja has announced that the Qatar Chamber of Commerce will host a Business and Investment Forum (BIF) on the margins of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s upcoming state visit to Qatar.

The forum, which is scheduled for March 3rd, 2024, follows a previous request from the Nigerian side.

“The Embassy has the honour to convey that the Qatar Chamber of Commerce will host the above mentioned event on 3rd march 2024, as proposed by the Nigerian side,” the Qatari embassy said in a note verbale to the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The state visit of President Tinubu is scheduled for March 2nd and 3rd, 2024. The Business and Investment Forum is expected to provide a platform for businesses from both countries to explore potential partnerships and investment opportunities.

“We are delighted to host the Business and Investment Forum during President Tinubu’s visit,” said a spokesperson for the Qatar Chamber of Commerce. “We believe that this forum will be a valuable opportunity to strengthen economic ties between Qatar and Nigeria.”

The Nigerian government has welcomed the announcement of the forum. “We are grateful to the Qatari government for hosting this important event,” said a spokesperson for the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “We believe that the forum will be a positive step forward in our bilateral relations.”

The Business and Investment Forum is expected to attract a large number of participants from both Qatar and Nigeria. The forum will feature presentations from government officials, business leaders, and experts on a variety of topics, including investment opportunities, trade relations, and economic development.
