Ahead of the 2023 Presidential Election in Nigeria, different political permutations and calculations have commenced.

For the purpose of fairness and equity, a group says the time has come for the South West Region of Nigeria to produce the next President in 2023.

This is the submission of a group known as the South West Agenda 2023 for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday, during an awareness visit to the palaces of traditional rulers in Oyo state.

They decided to commence their awareness tour from the headquarters of South west, Ibadan, Oyo state.

The first port of call of the planning committee of the group was the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji and later to the palace of the Alafin of Oyo,Oba Lamidi Adeyemi iii.

The team which is made up of serving and past national assembly members from the Southwest region said that the agreement by the founding fathers of All Progressives Congress, APC, was that power should move to the region after the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari, and it should be honoured.

The Group urged the people from the south west to support one of their own, saying no one has political experience and relevance in the region, like the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu and that he is the man the cap fits .

For the traditional rulers, they are ready to support an Agenda, that will support true Federalism and bring better development to the nation.

The official inauguration of the South West Agenda 2023 (SWAGA 23) Comes up on Tuesday, December 15,2020.
