Rainstorm has destroyed over 30 residential houses, and a school, with other properties worth hundreds of thousands of Naira, in Malima village of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.
A resident of the community, Irmiya Zakka said, the incident happened as a result of a downpour, which came with a strong windstorm. According to him, it is an incident which they have never witnessed before.
Irmiya who is equally a victim of the incident, called on the Bauchi State Government and wealthy individuals, to urgently come to the aid of the affected persons, who are now homeless, as well as their only school, which has been affected by the windstorm.

Efforts to speak with officials of the Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency were not successful as at the time of filing this report.
