Civil servants in Kebbi State will now work shorter days following the official start of the Ramadan fast.
This follows the approval of a two-hour reduction in daily shifts by Governor Nasir Idris
The directive was contained in a statement issued by Hafsat Ibrahim Tune, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Establishment, Pension, and Training.
Under the new temporary schedule, government offices will now open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the workday ends early at 12:00 noon.
The Ministry emphasized that all public servants are expected to adhere strictly to these new timelines. Normal working hours will resume immediately after the end of the Ramadan period
