Muslims across Nigeria have been urged to use the last 10 days of Ramadan to pray for the country, to overcome its present security situation.

They have also been charged to redouble and intensify worship, especially on the “Night of Power,” which is equivalent to be more than a thousand months.

A Muslim cleric, Dr. Mahmud Ali-Adeen, who gave the charge while speaking on the significance of the last 10 days of Ramadan and the state of the nation, in an exclusive interview with ait.live said, only prayers can solve the current situation, using the Night of Power.

The separate 10 days has its attribute and significance, ranging from seeking forgiveness, and the last 10 days, being the Night of Power.

The Night of Power should be looked out for, in the last 10 days of Ramadan, and the odd nights of 21, 23, 25, 27 and 29th respectively.

Dr. Ali-Adeen who is the Imam of Shababul Islam Mosque in Katsina State capital, while speaking on the significance of the night, urged Muslims who can spend the nights in approved secluded Mosques, or individually, to redouble their acts of worship in the nights of the last 10 days.

According to him, an act of worship done in the Night of Power, is equivalent to 1,000 months of one’s life.

Dr Ali-Adeen is also of the view that the current state of the country bedevilled by insecurity, killings and kidnappings which appear to have overwhelmed the government at all levels can be remedied through effective and sincere prayers by Muslims during these last 10 days of Ramadan.

As Muslims the world over begin seeking the Night of Power in the last 10 days of Ramadan, it is expected that they sleep less at night, and intensity worship, to witness the, sincere forgiveness from God.
