Borno Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has distributed food items, clothes and combined cash of five million, seven hundred thousand to 285 cleaners, messengers and other low ranking officials, working at the Government House in Maiduguri.
Each of them received a bag of rice, sugar, cooking oil, textile and N20,000 as support for Ramadan.
The Governor thanked the workers for their services, describing them as being critical to the operations of the Government House.
He promised to sustain welfare support to them, in addition to improving their conditions of service.
