A Former Governor of Lagos State and a Presidential Aspirant of the ruling all progressives Congress, APC Bola Tinubu may have turned on the heat on President Muhammadu Buhari over the choice of who becomes the standard bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) when he bellowed on Thursday that he brought Buhari out of political retirement and made him President

Tinubu made the assertions when he met with APC delegates in Abeokuta.

The former two-termed lagos state governor and the All progressives congress presidential aspirants, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was in Abeokuta, Ogun state for his last leg consultation tour.

In an attempt to convince delegates on reasons why he should be elected as the presidential candidate to fly the party’s flag for the 2023 general elections, Tinubu reminded his audience that if it were not for him Buhari would never have become President and therefore it is time for the president to return the favour.

Tinubu’s statement comes in the wake of Buhari’s request asking APC State Governors to allow him choose his “successor”, the same way the Governors have been doing in their respective states.

For many, Tinubu’s statement may have exposed his fears that Buhari could be trying to scheme him out with the push for a consensus arrangement for his “anointed candidate”.

This is not the first time relations between Tinubu and Buhari would be strained since the later became President but it is the very first it will make screaming headlines.as Tinubu in no holds bar manner reminded Buhari that he owes him a debt of gratitude and he wants it paid back in full

Could Tinubu had over-reacted and misfired thereby doing further damage to his own life long ambition?

Only time will tell.
