Ahead of the Tuesday, November 15, 2022 announcement of the 65th annual Grammy Awards nominees; the Recording Academy says there would be a slight difference at the 2023 edition with the introduction of five new categories.
Chief Executive Officer of the Academy, Harvey Mason Jr., who made the announcement via Twitter noted that one of the newly added categories; Best Americana Music Performance is a category that recognises artistic excellence in an Americana Performance by a solo or collaborating artist and an established duo or established group.
