The remains of 20 out of 36 military officers and soldiers killed in combat and air crash in Niger State between August 13 to 14, 2023, have been buried on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.
The remaining 16 others are already buried at various locations across the country.
Recall that three officers and 22 soldiers were killed in an ambush by terrorists around Zungeru general area in Niger State.
While a NAF MI-171 Helicopter crashed on August 14, 2023, in Chukuba village of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State while on casualty evacuation mission.

Dignitaries present to pay their last respect were Ministers of Defence, representative of the Niger state governor, top military officers, family members and other mourners.
