Nigerian clubside, Remo Stars have crashed out of the CAF Champions League following a 2-0 loss to AS FAR of Morocco.
The Ikenne-based team couldn’t take advantage of the first leg 2-1 victory at home. They were unable to hold off the Moroccans in the second leg, losing 2-0 in Rabat.
This resulted in a 3-2 aggregate loss, marking the third time Remo Stars have exited continental football early.
AS FAR Rabat secured their win with two second-half goals. Joel Beya, who also scored in the first leg, found the net in the 53rd minute, and a penalty by El Amine Zouhzouh sealed their victory.

This defeat means that two of Nigeria’s teams have already been knocked out of continental competitions. On Saturday, El-Kanemi Warriors FC also exited the CAF Confederation Cup after a 3-2 aggregate loss.
