Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has slammed politicians who want to reap where they did not sow in the Renewed Hope Family, ahead of the 2027 general election.

Wike made the remarks during his “Thank You” visit to Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, South-South Nigeria.

Supporters in Port Harcourt City turned out in large numbers to welcome the former Governor and current FCT Minister. The visit was an appreciation to the council for their steadfast support during the lead-up to the 2023 presidential election.

Addressing the crowd, Wike insisted that the decision to support President Tinubu has paid off.

He warned those who were absent during that high-stakes period, advising them to forget about seeking leadership positions within the “Renewed Hope” family.

The Minister expressed total confidence in the readiness of his political family ahead of the 2027 elections.

He boasted that Rivers is the only state where President Tinubu can be guaranteed a win with “both eyes closed”.

Like other local government areas, political leaders in the local government, assured the Minsiter of their unflinching loyalty.

The momentum now shifts to Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, which is expected to host the “mother of all thank you visit on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
