In Plateau State, 500 women, youths, and secondary school students have benefited from the agricultural support program of the wife of the Nigerian President, Remi Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative.
Representing Remi Tinubu, the wife of the Plateau State Governor, Helen Mutfwang, called on the beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity to boost the nation’s food security.
The agricultural support program covers four key areas and includes beneficiaries from all 17 local government councils of Plateau State. According to Helen Mutfwang’ , who serves as the state coordinator , the program’s goal is to promote sustainable agricultural practices to enhance food security.
The Plateau State Commissioners for Women’s Affairs and Agriculture challenged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the materials provided, stating that follow-up visits will be conducted to track their progress.

A unique part of the program was the inclusion of young farmers from secondary schools. The students expressed excitement over their participation.
Participants also received a crash course in animal husbandry and vegetable farming to help them get started.
