The Federal Government says it will commence repairs of damaged expansion joints on the long bridge along Lagos-Shagamu Expressway from Monday, March 4 to Monday, March 25.
Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Olukorede Kesha who made this known in a statement says repair works of the damaged expansion joints on the bridge would be done simultaneously on both bounds of the bridge.

Kesha added that traffic leaving and entering Lagos through the bridge will be narrowed to two lanes to enable the contractors handling the repair works to commence work on the other two lanes of the carriageway.
While advising motorists to exercise patience during the period of the repairs and take alternative routes, Kesha says the road beside the Shagamu bound carriageway will be made motorable to serve as a complimentary road for motorists.
She noted that traffic management officials would be deployed to manage traffic and ensure hitch-free movements during the duration of the repairs.
