Report on release of Jangebe school girls untrue – Police

The police have debunked reports currently trending on some online media platforms (not ait.live) that the abducted students of Government Girls Science Secondary School Jangebe in Talata Mafara LGA have been released.

The police in a statement in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital said records available to them show that the abducted students have not been released.

It however, said the police in collaboration with other security agencies and the State Government are intensifying efforts that will lead to the safe rescue of the students.

They urge members of the public to discontenance the story, and further appealed to any person or groups with any credible information about the abducted students to contact senior police officers on their phone numbers including
