The Minority Caucus in the House of Representatives has condemned the brutal murder of Felix Olajide Sowore, younger brother of the publisher of Sahara Reporters and rights activist, Omoyele Sowore.
In a statement released by the Minority leader, Ndudi Elumelu the caucus noted that “it is heartbreaking that Nigeria’s promising young ones are being daily felled and maimed by bandits, terrorists and kidnappers who are now freely marauding the country while the government looks overwhelmed and helpless”.

The caucus described Olajide’s gruesome killing as another sad commentary on the horrible security situation and utter hopelessness in the country under the current administration.
The lawmakers called on the Inspector General of Police to immediately track down the murderers as well as other terrorist and criminal gangs causing havoc in various parts of the country and bring them to book.
The caucus condoled with the Sowore family and families of other victims and charged President Muhammadu Buhari to take clear steps to tackle insecurity in the country.
