Some victims of alleged Ondo Church indoctrination have refused to go home to their families, demanding the release of their pastors from police custody.
The Ondo State Police Command had ordered their release after they were rescued last Friday at the Whole Bible Believers Church in Ondo town, Ondo State.
To the shock of many, the victims on Monday refused to return home without the release of their pastors from Police custody.
The dust over Saturday’s arrest of a pastor and his assistant arrested and accused of harbouring 77 persons including some children has refused to simmer down.
Police spokesperson in the State, Funmilayo Odunlami said despite different appeals the victims vowed to remain in the police custody until their pastor and his assistant are released.
Some parents of the victims said their wards have been hypnotized and under the spell of the pastors.
Meanwhile, the Ondo government said it is working out modalities to rehabilitate and legally take custody of some of the victims.
