The Nigeria Medical Association, (NMA) has blamed the high level insecurity in the country for the exodus of medical doctors to seek greener pastures abroad.
The Kogi State Chairman of NMA, Dr Abubakar Hassan, told AIT news in Lokoja on Friday that the ongoing nationwide strike by the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, is the result of the kidnap of their member, doctor Ganiyat Popoola, in December, 2023.
The seven-day warning strike by the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors over the abduction of their colleague, doctor Ganiyat Popoola has crippled health services across the nation, including Kogi State.
The Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association, Dr Abubakar Hassan, expressed concerns over the continuous targeting of medical personnel despite their service to humanity.
