The ongoing nationwide strike embarks upon by resident doctors has paralysed activities at Aminu Kano Teaching hospital where members of the union complied with their national directive.
The President of the association of resident doctors at the hospital, Mujahid Hassan, said although they are concerned about the danger posed by the third wave of Covid-19, their welfare also should be prioritized by the Federal Government since they are at the forefront of the fight against Covid 19.

He said they have tried every possible means to avoid the strike, but the Federal Government has failed to fulfill its promises, including the payment of hazard allowances, implementation of the residency training fund, and the payment of House Officers, among others.
