There is desperate need for relief supplies for victims of floods in Delta state as more communities get submerged by water
One of the worst hit is Igodo community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state.

The community is among the four communities recently submerged by flood.
Residents of the community are helpless and stranded with no where to go.
They are appealing to the state government for relief assistance and temporary shelter.
The situation in Igodo community is not different from other communities in Burutu area.
Schools here have been shut, and most commercial activities grounded.
Farmers are forced to harvest their cassava crops early so as not to lose their food completely to flood.
For now, affected residents are hoping that government with immediately pay attention to their plight.
