Residents of Gudum Sayawa in Bauchi State North-East Nigeria have been thrown into mourning as unknown killers attacked six women, stabbed and killed one, and injured another.
An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, said the incident occurred Wednesday evening, a few kilometers away from their house, when they were coming back from their rice farms.
He said two unknown men dressed in black with face masks, suddenly appeared, attacked, and killed Grace Danyaro, mother of eight. She was said to have died instantly.
Danyaro Juma, who is the husband of the victim, called on the state and the Federal Government to protect the lives of Nigerians.
The Bauchi State Police Command in a press statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the incident.
