President Muhammadu Buhari will on Tuesday, present the Governor of Cross River State, Professor Ben Ayade, giant stride award in recognition of his excellent performance in rice production in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the media aide, Ayade, said his administration has excelled with the establishment of Africa’s first vitaminized rice seeds and seedling factory in Ogoja.
The statement noted that President Buhari had concluded plans to honour Ayade for his investment in rice and food security.

The innovation of Gov. Ben Ayade, in support of the Presidential initiative on rice revolution has contributed largely to keep Nigeria out of hunger especially during the period of dreaded Corona Virus pandemic .
Prominent citizens of Cross River State irrespective of their political parties will join Ayade at the event.
