Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has condoled with families of the persons missing in boat capsize incident on the River Benue.
In a statement by his chief press secretary, Terverr Akase, the Governor urged members of Kwaghter community where the incident took place to cooperate with the police rescue team to enable it find missing persons.
Governor Ortom reminded Benue people about this year’s weather predictions on torrential rains and advised that those who travel by the waters should adopt all safety measures.

Two persons were rescued while at least 21 remain unaccounted for.
