The Chief Judge of Rivers State Simeon Amadi, and the Attorney General of Rivers State Dangogo Iboroma have charged Legal practitioners to be upright in the discharge of their duties.
The legal luminaries who made the call in Port Harcourt during the opening of the 2024 /2025 legal year affirmed that upholding the rule of law was the lifewire of the judiciary.
Addressing the lawyers at a gathering, the Attorney General of the state, Iboroma, said the ceremony was an avenue to review the success achieved by the judiciary and the challenges hindering the administration of justice and to proffer solutions.
The Rivers state Chief Judge Simeon who reeled out the judiciary’s achievements, said the Port Harcourt correctional center has been decongested, stating that a lot of inmates awaiting trial have been set free.
He charged lawyers to route their cases through the appropriate channels for speedy approval.
