Rivers Crisis: Former National Assembly Members Warn Detractors Against Destabilizing The State

Former National Assembly members from Rivers State have called on all well-meaning citizens of the state to support Governor Sim Fubara to exercise the mandate given to him by the electorate and affirmed by the Supreme Court without fear or distraction.

The former lawmakers who served at various times say they are deeply concerned by the anxiety and hysteria caused as a result of the brewing political crisis in the state.

Speaking after they met with Governor Sim Fubara on Saturday, the former federal lawmakers also called on the people to reject the attempts by some persons to undermine the progress of the state for personal reasons.

They are former national assembly members from Rivers State who are deeply concerned about the brewing political crisis in the state.

Regardless of their political affiliations, these former federal lawmakers are standing united in their unwavering belief and conviction that the unity, peace, and progress of Rivers State are paramount and non-negotiable

They also reject the attempt by some persons to undermine the progress of Rivers State for personal gain and urge the people to reject and oppose such efforts.
