The Rivers State council of traditional rulers has urged President Bola tinubu not to heed to the calls for declaration of state of emergency in the state.
The call is part of a communique from the traditional rulers council after its meeting under the chairmanship of His royal majesty eze Chike worlu-wodo in Port Harcourt.

The monarch urged president Bola tinubu to disregard the calls for state of emergency declaration in rivers state.
He said the peace of Rivers State was paramount to all and as such he wants the Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara to remain focused in the execution of policies and programmes that will impact positively on the lives of the people
The traditional rulers all want the inspector general of police IGP kayode egbetokun, to ensure that the state police command does not take sides in the ongoing political issues in rivers state
