The newly-elected Chairman of the Rivers State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, Professor Chizindu Alikor says the new executive committee will partner the Rivers State Ministry of Health to eradicate quackery within the state’s health system.
At his maiden press briefing, the Consultant cardiologist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, said capacity-building of doctors will be intensified during the two-year tenure of the new team, and called for the establishment of a health desk at the Rivers State House of Assembly to enable doctors make salient contributions to health legislation for the state.

Prof Alikor appreciated Governor Nyesom Wike for efforts at combating the corona virus and the welfare of medical doctors.
