The All Progressives Congress has advised the Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara to respect the legislative arm of government in the interest of good governance and peaceful co-existence.
National Publicity Secretary of APC Felix Morka made the call at a Press Conference in Abuja.
The ruling party was reacting to the crisis between the Governor and the State House of Assembly.
Morka warned that Governor Fubara cannot arrogate the constitution of Nigeria adding that Governor Fubara has actively and vehemently precipitated his impeachment through his actions, conduct and comments.
He noted that Governor Fubara’s declaration that the Rivers State House of Assembly does not exist was not only reckless, but also a direct affront to the Nigerian Constitution.
