RIVERS STATE

A major breakthrough has been achieved in the Rivers State political crisis as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara announced a peace deal.

Speaking after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, both leaders expressed their commitment to working together for the progress of Rivers State.

Wike stated, “We have all agreed to work together with the governor, and the governor also agreed to work together with all of us. We are members of the same political family… everything is over.” He emphasized that the disagreement had been settled, and they had come to report to the President.

Governor Fubara echoed Wike’s sentiments, thanking God for the peace deal.
