There is need for members of the All Progressives Congress,APC ,Rivers State chapter to work as a unit for the progress of the party and get the state on the path of development.
This was the opinion of the Governorship candidate of the social Democratic party in the March 2023 governorship election in Rivers State Senator Magnus Abe,who formally announced his return to the APC on the sidelines of a stakeholders meeting of the Senator Magnus Abe support group.
Senator Magnus Abe,who campaigned and contested for votes to the brick house on the ticket of the SDP in the last March election, told his political associates that it was time to return and build the All Progressives Congress APC in Rivers State.
Senator Abe ,alongside other chieftains of his group ,like Chidi Whihioka,Wogu Boms,former attorney general of the state, Golden Chioma,Augustine Nwokocha and others, opined that if APC faithful agreed that they have learnt their lessons, the party will not be enmeshed in any crisis anymore.
According to Senator Abe,the party must be open to everyone, stressing that he was not in the party to wrest power from anyone,adding that no serious political party will take his group for granted.
While intimating the stakeholders of some of the ongoing issues in the party,Senator Abe said he was returning to the APC as one of its foundation members.
