Rivers State APP head office bombed in Port Harcourt

Officials of the Action People’s Party, APP has condemned the dynamite attack on its Rivers State secretariat in Port Harcourt in the early hours of Monday, August 12.

The officials in a chat with journalists hours after the attack, blamed it on those who do not mean well for the state and called on the people to identify with the ideals of the new emerging party.

The dynamite attack has left shattered glasses on the floor of the Action People’s Party secretariat in Port Harcourt in the early hours of August 12,2024

Party faithful including national officers of the party who were in Port Harcourt for a familiarisation visit, condemned the attack on their State party secretariat and attributed the unfortunate incident to the handiwork of those afraid of the rising profile of the party.

Rivers State APP Chairman, Sonny Nwokekoro, said the slogan of the party at the centre, “string economy, united Nigeria, a new Nigeria is possible”, is the x-factor driving the party in Rivers state as the major opposition political party and friends of Rivers state, have been emptied into the APP.

River State Police Commissioner, Olatunji Disu, who was also on ground to ascertain the level of damage, assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted to unravel those behind the attack.

Nwokekoro said the APP, is not only the alternative in the state but the real deal for Rivers State people.
