Former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili welcomes current Governor, Sim Fubara to his Port Harcourt residence

Former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili says God has used the current Governor of the State, Siminalayi Fubara, to prevent some persons from turning the state into their private property.

Dr. Odili also disclosed that the battle Governor Fubara has gone through from the 25th of October 2023 was never about himself or his family but in the state’s interest.

Speaking at a gathering he put together to appreciate Governor Fubara and his family, Peter Odili added that the battle is an existential fight for the soul of the state and to re-affirm that Rivers State can never be anybody’s private property.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara was accompanied by his wife to the Port Harcourt residence of one of his predecessors and highly respected leaders of the state for the special event organised by Dr. Odili to show appreciation for him and his family for the sacrifices they’ve made in the state’s interest.

Governor Fubara says he has stopped seeing the crisis as a problem. Instead, he draws strength from God and the overwhelming support he enjoys from the people.

He measures success by the happiness of the people and not by any personal accomplishments.

The Rivers State Governor says the people should expect a better 2025 from his administration. He also uses the opportunity to thank Dr. Peter Odili and other political leaders for their support and the sacrifices they have made to support his administration, promising not to betray the trust they and other Rivers State people have bestowed on him.
