Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has appealed to the people of Rivers State to ensure that the state remains peaceful for development because it is the center of the Niger Delta Region, warning that any disturbance can trigger a crisis that could be detrimental to the nation’s economy.
He also wants Governor Siminalayi Fubara to be left alone to concentrate on his duties, pointing out that another person will take over after his tenure expires.
Dr Jonathan who was a guest at an event held in the Etche local government area of Rivers State, urged Governor Fubara to be strong, stressing that the challenges he is going through will shape him into a general in politics.
