The Rivers State Government on Friday flagged off the construction of a seventh flyover in the state capital.

Performing the groundbreaking ceremony in Port Harcourt, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South-South Zone, Dan Orbih says Governor Nyesom Wike has become a symbol of good governance and what the party can do if given another opportunity to govern Nigeria.

He stressed that Governor Wike, through his good works has opened a new chapter of development in Rivers State

Mr Project as Governor Wike is fondly called has invested heavily in the provision of infrastructure that has included the simultaneous construction of several multi-billion-naira bridges all in a bid to restore Port Harcourt to its old glory.

The Nkpolu-Oroworukwo flyover bridge is the 7th of such project to be embarked on by the Wike administration.

When completed the bridge will cover a distance of 624m

So far, three of the bridges: Rebisi, Okoro-nu-do and Rumuogba have been completed and commissioned while three others: Rumuola, GRA Junction and ogbunbali are nearing completion…

Governor Nyesom Wike says his number one priority is making rivers people happy.

Time line for the completion of the Nkpolu-Oroworukwo flyover has been put at 12 months, but the Rivers State Governor is however insisting on the job being completed in ten months.
