Russian Embassy In Nigeria Denies Involvement In Hunger Protest

RUSSIA

The Embassy of Russia in Nigeria says it has no hand in the coordination or activities of the #Endbadgovernance protests in Nigeria.

The embassy in a recent statement noted that Russia does not interfere in the domestic affairs of foreign states, including Nigeria. insisting that the intentions of some protesters to waving Russian flags are personal choices of individuals, and they do not reflect any official position or policy of the Russian government in the issue.

The embassy also notes that as a country, it respects Nigerian democracy and believes that peaceful demonstrations in conformity with Nigerian law are a manifestation of democracy. But condemned acts that lead to the disruptions of peaceful protest.
