Residents of Salama a suburb in Bauchi Local Government Area, has decried neglect by the state and the federal government over lack of basic social amenities and the dividends of democracy.
They complained that despite their closeness to Bauchi metropolis, the Government has not looked in their direction
Salama community is part of the Rafin Zurfi New Layout, recently carved out and named Salama.
With the recently created Polling Unit by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which the community is part of, it is expected that the community is supposed to be a beneficiary in the Bauchi Local Government.
The community, decried poor access roads and portable drinking water in the area, despite the water scheme programme of the Isa Yuguda’s regime.

The members of the community also raised concern over the mass metering programme, saying that their community has been neglected.
The members of the community are hopeful that necessary action will be taken by the appropriate authorities to improve their well-being
