Sanction erring NASS members in PDP from Cross River State – Council Chairmen

The Forum of Local Government Chairmen under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, In Cross River State has called on the National Secretariat of the party to weld the big stick on party faithful especially National Assembly members who disobey party guidelines.

The Party Chieftains Stated this in Calabar during a solidarity media briefing at the Ministry of local Government Affairs Headquarters to lend support to Governor Ben Ayade and leadership of the state PDP in Cross River.

Chairman of the Forum, Offiong Bassey, and his Secretary Emmanuel Ishabo while pledging their support for Governor Ben Ayade also called on the National Executive Committee of the Party to implement David Mark’s Recommendations.

The council chairmen are also calling for the sanction of any member who took the party to court without any remorse as the crisis in the party worsens.

Responding, Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Stella Odey-Ekpo Said Cross River State will Continue to remain indivisible and one political Family Under Governor Ayade.

The chairmen assured the commissioner that they will continue to work to make the party and united under Governor Ayade so as to move Cross River State forward.
