Forty-six contestants for the stool of the Sarkin Sudan of Kwantagora, have called for the cancellation of the selection of the yet to be announced candidate as the new Emir.
The selection was conducted on the nineteenth of September, where the Kingmakers made the final selection of a new Emir.

The contestants in a petition to the Niger State Governor Abubakar Bello, signed by one of the contestants, Barrister Mika Anache, described the process followed by the kingmakers as a sham.
The contestants also called on Governor Abubakar Bello, to replace the Commissioner For Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abdul-Malik Sarkin Daji, to give room for a transparent, free and fair exercise.
They assured the Governor and the people of Kwantagora Emirate, of their readiness to accept the outcome of a new Emir as requested.
