Academic activities have bounced back on Monday in schools across Kano State, following the directive of the government on safe schools reopening.
This is coming after about seven months of closure, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Students and teachers in some of the schools say they are happy to be back for learning.
At the Federal Government College, Naibawa, students arriving at the school wash their hands, apply the hand sanitizer, and queue for a temperature check, with all of them wearing face masks.
Safety protocols were also put in place in some of the private schools visited. Some of the students say they are happy to be back, having missed a lot from the learning environment.

Some school operators and teachers lament over the long stay at home that has affected them negatively. They solicit for more government support.
The schools have reopened for third term, scheduled to be concluded in December this year.
