Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, KACCIMA, has appealed to the Nigerian military to secure the country from banditry, kidnapping, and general insecurity, to help businesses from total collapse.
The President of the chamber, Dalhatu Alhamsad, made the call when members of course 43 of the Armed Forces, Command and Staff College, Jaji, visited the chamber on study tour.
The President told the course participants that Kano is a commercial hub and the largest non oil economy, but security challenges are retarding the growth of businesses.
KACCIMA said, Dawanau grains market, the biggest in west Africa, exports zero truck from 200 trucks daily, before border closure.

Team leader of the course 43, Commodore Sa’ad Akinwade said, they are in Kano to learn the strategies adopted during the covid19 pandemic.
The 30 student course participants consist of two foreign students from Tanzania and two female officers from the army, airforce, navy, and the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, NIA.
