The decision was made on Saturday at a meeting with his followers in his Ifaki Ekiti country home.
Impeccable sources at the meeting told ait.live that Oni will contest the June 18 Ekiti State Governorship election on the platform of a different political party.
The source added that the new party will be announced in the next one week.
Recall that Segun Oni has complained about the conduct of the PDP Governorship primary elections that the outcome was allegedly tilted in favour of a particular aspirant who later emerged as the party’s candidate.
