Ine Stars FC have booked a semi-final spot in the 2026 President Federation Cup in Edo State. This follows their convincing 3-0 victory in their quarter-final match against Alhaji FC at the UBTH Sports Complex in Benin City.
In the second quarter-final clash of the competition, Westgate FC edged Benin Warriors FC 2-1 to qualify for the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, defending champions Bendel Insurance FC reinforced their title credentials with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Delight FA in the quarterfinals of the 2026 President Federations Cup in Edo State at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
Oke Kayode gave Insurance an early advantage in the 11th minute, setting the tone for a competitive encounter as the holders looked determined to keep their title defense on track.
Delight FA responded strongly, with Chuka Nwaigwe drawing them level in the 32nd minute to ensure both sides went into the break on even terms. However, Bendel Insurance’s experience proved decisive late in the game, as Efe Enabulele struck in the 77th minute to restore the lead and ultimately seal victory, sending the defending champions into the semifinals.
As at the time of this report, the fourth quarter-final match was underway with Shola FC battling St. Andrews FC in what promises to be another exciting fixture in the competition. Both sides have shown determination early on, with play moving swiftly across the pitch as they seek to gain control and edge closer to a semifinal spot.
