The Finance Amendment Bill 2020 which was transmitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari has scaled through 2nd reading .
The bill which also scaled first reading on Tuesday was immediately considered for second reading after extensive debate by the lawmakers and there after referred the bill to its Committee on Finance.
The amendment to the Finance Bill 2020 seems to be enjoying a high level of attention from the senators a day after it was transmitted to them by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Even though the chamber appeared deserted, the lawmakers still went ahead to consider the bill after an argument between the President of the Senate and the Senator representing Rivers East, Thompson Sekibo on the failure of the chamber to meet quorum.
The bill is considered to be very instrumental to the improvement of key procurement reforms, tax administration and revenue management of the government at a time when Nigeria needs to battle its way out of recession.
