Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro, has criticised the recent coalition moves by African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing them as acts of political gang up that offer no genuine solutions to Nigeria’s long standing challenges.
Speaking in Abuja, Moro warned that such alliances, driven by frustration and grievances, risk deepening divisions in the country rather than fostering national unity or progress.
He noted that Nigeria’s current challenges are the result of collective failure over the years, stressing that no single individual can be solely blamed for the nation’s predicament.
The lawmaker from Benue State underscored the need for constructive and issue-based opposition.
He argued that confrontational politics only heightens tensions without delivering tangible results for the Nigerian people.
Expressing concern over the state of basic infrastructure, Moro pointed out that Nigeria still struggles with inadequate power supply, with citizens receiving an average of just five hours of electricity daily.

He also highlighted poor access to clean water for over 80 percent of the population and a failing education system as symptoms of long term neglect and governance failure.
The lawmaker called for a holistic and inclusive approach to national development, urging political stakeholders to focus on long-term solutions rather than short-term coalitions formed out of dissatisfaction and disillusionment.
Commenting on developments within the opposition, Moro said relative peace has returned to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is facing its own internal crisis, including the recent unexplained resignation of its national chairman.
He dismissed speculation about the PDP forming or joining any political coalition at this time.
Moro reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP, stating that he remains a committed and bonafide member, with no intention of defecting.
The senator maintained that the country’s problems can only be solved through unity, accountability, and a collective resolve to do what is right not through blame games or politically motivated alliances.
