The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday received a request from President Muhammadu Buhari for the confirmation of the Acting President of the Court of Appeal, Monica Dongban-Mensem.
The request was contained in a letter read on the floor during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

Also at plenary, the senate confirmed the appointment of Professor Jummai Audi and 2 others as chairman and members of the Nigerian law reform commission.
Meanwhile one of the nominee, Ebele Bernard Chima who was absent at the screening was not confirmed by the senate.
